Key Account Sales Director (m/w/d)

Our client is a leading, internationally operating company in the bedding sector with over 5,000 employees in Europe and Asia. The position for the development and expansion of the sales location Germany is being newly established.


Your job:

  • Responsibility for establishing and sustainably developing long-term customer relationships in both the branded and private label segments of the German bedding and bedding products market
  • Development and implementation of the commercial strategy for the German market based on market knowledge and established network to relevant buyers.
  • extensive and independent acquisition of new customers and partners as well as support of existing accounts
  • close cooperation with the sales colleagues in the DACH region and the locations for product development and production in other European countries
  • Establishing, implementing and controlling the annual sales plan and budget based on sales targets.
  • Developing a country strategy in collaboration with other business units while adhering to the vision and strategic framework of the corporate group
  • Potential to take on management responsibility with appropriate development and success


Your profile

  • successfully completed (technical) university studies/bachelor’s degree in the commercial field, alternatively commercial training
  • established network in the field of furniture stores, retail chains for beds and bedding – retail and online
  • ideally experience in product development and/or product management in the corresponding product group
  • Knowledge of the processes, requirements and peculiarities of the furniture industry
  • fluent language skills in English and German
  • strong acquisition and negotiation skills
  • Ability to network in order to build and maintain partnerships
  • Pleasure in a high level of operational sales activity with very good growth prospects and the possibility of management responsibility
  • charismatic, self-confident appearance combined with a solid, pragmatic and efficient management approach
  • high level of communication skills in all directions of the partnership (customer, producer, headquarters, etc.)
  • Good listening skills
  • Self-motivation, results orientation, “can do” attitude, reliability and loyalty.
  • Team player with a non-hierarchical mindset
  • Travelling mainly within Germany, occasionally to other European countries
  • Location in Germany should have a convenient and central connection to the infrastructure
