Application Manager Shoe technology (m/f/d)

Our client is a leading solution provider for reinforcement materials in the footwear and lifestyle market.


Your responsibilities:

  • technical support of customers, sales and marketing as well as development in handling the products and their application
  • Support training of sales staff in terms of technical understanding (e.g. creation and realization of webinars, training materials, etc.).
  • Focus on the product group sports shoes, sneakers and athleisure
  • Know-How Transfer // Briefing to production staff and suppliers
  • Presence at trade fairs
  • Complaint handling
  • Collaboration in product development and market launch
  • Support for tests in the factories
  • Creation of application patterns
  • Be the communication interface with all relevant departments and partners
  • Close exchange within the global team
  • Regular trips to the production sites (approx. 20% travel share)


Your profile:

  • Technical/craft training as shoemaker/manufacturer/orthopedic technician, if necessary further training as master craftsman, or creative studies with extensive, technical know-how and experience
  • alternatively clothing technology, plastics/leather and textile technology or textile and clothing technology
  • ausgezeichnete Produktkenntnisse und technisches Verständnis im Umgang mit Materialien, Verarbeitung und Entwicklung im relevanten Segment. Excellent product knowledge and technical understanding in dealing with materials, processing and development in the relevant segment.
  • several years of experience in the production and construction of footwear, especially sports shoes
  • alternatively also junior / graduates / young professionals after completion of studies/training
  • international sales and marketing experience is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of technical implementation / feasibility in the relevant segment
  • Experience and knowledge of quality management as well as potential problem areas, forward thinking skills.
  • very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel and Power-Point
  • excellent knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • other foreign languages advantageous
  • Interest in working with medium-sized, internationally active companies
  • Confident and engaging appearance, adept at dealing with international business partners and different cultures
  • Presentation confidence
  • Team spirit / ability to work in a team
